About

Hello, friend. Thanks for wanting to know more about PlainJane. I’m a wife and mama to three little people. I enjoy reading, writing and creating with all sorts of things (like yarn and fabric and other stuff).

My first blog was Making Home Simple and it was a space where I shared daily ideas and tips for homemaking. After a year of writing MHS, I wanted to include more of the elements that make up our days and began pondering a new name. Much deliberation (and suffering on the part of my patient test subjects family) ensued and I settled on PlainJane. It reminds me to continue the daily process of simplifying my life–to focus on what really matters. It also provides a means of anonymity. (You didn’t think you were actually going to find out who I am, did you? Nope. Ninja!)

Randomness about me and mine:
We live in the mountains.
I consume obscene amounts of chocolate.
We really are ninjas.
I ask my husband bizarre questions. Frequently.
We love God.
I wanted to be a boy scout as a kid. I’m not a boy.
We homeschool. It’s super-fun.

Seriously, though…I’m really honored that you are reading my blog. Thank you. :)
